The Mind Behind Tavenend

Hello, and welcome. I Am SketchWork, the creator, writer, composer, and producer of the Tavenend podcast audio dramas. For over 25 years, I've been working in creative technology, but my deepest passion has always been for storytelling, especially the kind that gets under your skin.

With this podcast audio drama, I'm combining all my skills into one project. I handle the vast majority of what you hear, from the writing of each terrifying incident to the overall mixing of the episode.

All stories in Tavenend are written and produced by me. I perform the majority of the voice work, with guest voice artists contributing to select roles. The series is rooted in real Cornish locations and draws heavily on Cornish folklore, myths, and legends, with the town of Tavenend itself fictionalised as a narrative construct.

This show is a labour of love and terror, and I'm thrilled to have you tuning in from your own quiet corner of the world. Just be sure to listen closely to the static.
